Nicole D.
Hello, my name is Nicole, though everyone calls me Nicci! I am a pediatric occupational therapist with 22 years of professional experience working with children, plus 19 years of hands-on experience as a mom of three. My work has taken me through infant and toddler programs serving children from birth to age three, preschool classrooms across our district, and elementary and secondary schools, so I have cared for kids at nearly every stage. I have also worked as a parent educator supporting families with young children, and I bring a strong background in child development into every home I visit.
I love working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children, including kids with developmental differences. Infants hold a special place in my heart. I have cared for the tiniest humans, including premature infants and multiples, and I am comfortable with feeding, safe sleep routines, tummy time, and reading the small cues babies use to tell us what they need. Helping a baby settle in with a new person is one of my favorite parts of this work.
On a personal note, I am a mom to three teenagers, including identical twin boys who arrived when my oldest had barely turned two. Those early years were the hardest I have ever worked and the happiest I have ever been, and that season is a big part of why I have so much patience and respect for parents of little ones.
These days, when I’m not working, you will find me on the golf course or pickleball court, skiing with my family in the winter, or driving my kids all over the state so they can live their best lives. A funny side note: my son is 16 and currently earning his pilot’s license, flying airplanes in and out of Aspen—and I still refuse to let him drive my car!
