Meet the Amazing...
Mabel G.
Hello! My name is Mabel. I was born in Missoula, Montana, where I was raised to appreciate the natural world and seek out opportunities for adventure and excitement. I am passionate about skiing, mountain biking, running, backpacking, and most activities that allow me to explore the outdoors. In high school, I also learned to pole vault, which led to an athletic career in track and field at Colorado College. There, I majored in both Romance languages and political science, with a focus on Spanish and U.S. politics.
After graduating from Colorado College in 2022, I worked as a middle school Spanish teacher at Watershed School in Boulder, Colorado. In the spring of 2024, I transitioned to the Traveling School, where I taught advanced Spanish to American high school students as we traveled for four months throughout South America. I believe experiential learning is one of the most powerful tools for education, and I love encouraging children to try something new.
I approach the world with an open mind, empathy, and a fierce curiosity. After two years of teaching, I’m hoping to continue my education and return to my studies in political science. During this time of transition, I’m excited to be based in the Roaring Fork Valley and eager to spend time caring for children. I’ve been nannying and babysitting children of all ages since my adolescence and enjoy getting to know each child personally to cater to their interests. I am certified in infant, child, and adult CPR, as well as a certified Wilderness First Responder. I’m a cheerful and lively presence and will care for your child with the utmost attention.
I look forward to meeting your family!
