About our Company

Since its inception in 1997, the Aspen Babysitting Company has made long lasting relationships with local families, as well as families that return to Aspen year after year. After moving to Aspen in the winter of 1998, current owner Jenn (Currie) Voorhees found her career path as a nanny for a local family, where she discovered her passion for spending time with children, and her desire to plant roots in Aspen. In the summer of 2001, Jenn became owner of the Aspen Babysitting Company. Jenn was married in 2008, and most recently added on to the Aspen Babysitting Company family with her two new additions, twin boys born in February 2010. "Being a new mother has become the greatest joy and challenge at the same time…I am so grateful for the opportunity to relate to other moms, especially new ones, as well as nannies since I have shared shoes with each. It has taken many years, but building a reputation in this community based on word of mouth has been the best advertisement. I take a lot of pride in the babysitters and nannies that I recommend, and truly believe in every person I send out."

About our Sitters

We have found that every situation is unique. Each family has different needs, and each babysitter has their own areas of specialty. Matching babysitters to families has become an art, and each babysitter hired is carefully selected for their qualities. We offer babysitters who specialize in infant care, night nurse newborn services, as well as "kid sitters" that provide a fun, imaginative experience for your children. Our selection of babysitters is diversified, and each babysitter has the experience to match your family's needs.

The Aspen Babysitting Company promotes safety as a priority, and requires all babysitters to have a certification in CPR and First Aid. All babysitters are screened with a criminal background investigation through the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
